Coaching Services

General Coaching
During coaching sessions I work with an individual to develop new goals and complete established goals. We develop a plan of action for their life in order to move forward and succeed in any areas in which they are struggling. Coaching may cover many topics including job seeking, how to handle an interview, money management, relationships, healthy and effective communications, navigating family concerns and a number of other areas where individuals might be struggling to grow. Overall, my goal is to help each individual meet their full potential.

Parental and Family Coaching
Having completed the Nurturing Parenting Programs® I am able to work with parents and their children to help facilitate communication and understanding in their parent/child relationships. I work to help parents connect in a healthy way with their children, such as setting healthy boundaries, identify what their child's needs are and how to respond to those needs in an effective, loving and compassionate way. I help them identify their childs communication style and how to effectively communicate with each child to facilitate a healthy dialogue. Each child learns differently and there is no single parenting style that meets all needs. I'm here to assist parents with the stress they experience when trying to parent a child who is struggling. As a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, I specialize in addiction related issues and can help navigate adults, children and young adults who struggle with addiction, substance misuse or failure to thrive issues. Our long-term goals are to teach positive parenting behaviors that prevent social service involvement, lower rates of multi-parent teenage pregnancies, and reduce the rate of juvenile delinquency and alcohol/substance misuse.

The Nurturing Parenting Programs® are recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the National Registry for Evidence-based Parenting Programs (NREPP), and a number of state and local agencies. It is a family-centered trauma-informed initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglectful parenting and child-rearing practices. This evidence-based Nurturing philosophy has helped families from all over the world and in all branches of the military improve their parenting skills. Sobriety Coaching
As a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) I am able to work with each individual to personalize care that addresses their needs. I am here to help support them in their recovery or assist them in learning and putting into action ways to achieve sobriety. Here are a few examples of what I help with: developing healthy coping skills, identifying triggers, areas that are high risk, removing unhealthy and/or toxic people from your life and ways to support recovery and what day to day sobriety looks like.

Oftentimes this process includes working with families to identify and address issues within the family unit, making amends where needed and working towards healthy family communications. Families are rarely immune to the impact of a family members addiction. They are sometimes aware of this impact but other times hold resentments and/or anger towards their addicted love one. I help to facilitate a safe environment to repair these impacted areas and work towards healthier and honest relationships.
